Cool 303. Most had smooth sides with no engraving. Yours looks to me like a 302. They had deep and pretty eleborate engraving. Your gun is prabably an early 303 with 302 style engraving. Beretta did stuff like that back in the day. As to value, it's like my wife says, what difference does it make because your not going to sell it any way.

Most seem to be selling for $600-650 on gunbroker. A303's are very high quality guns. They were made in the 80's and early 90's and were Beretta's top of the line automatic in their era. Most of them have FAR better wood than subsequent 390/391/400's.

Beretta 303s are good shotguns. A lot of the internal parts interchange with the AL-2, 302, and 390s. Trigger groups can be swapped between them also. There are a few differences like the magazine cut off on 302 and 303s. A negative about the 303s are you are limited to 2 3/4" or 3" chambers,

The Beretta 302 & 303's (1984 thru 1990) had more quality built into them compared to contemporary 390 and 391's, more attention to detail, better wood and wood finish and fit and IMO better balance and handleing. The Beretta A303 Special Trap in 30" or 32" mobil choked were the Top of the Line for the day, late 1980's...beautiful guns.

In my opinion, the 303 is probably the best gun Beretta ever made and I have owned several other semi auto's by several manufacturers as well as Beretta later models. I used a 391 for years for Instruction purposes, but that was because of the fact it would cycle any cartridges, even some 21 gram.
